FAQs
About
Who are you?
Hi, my name is Katie and I do most of the making around here. Okay, I do all of the making! Formerly, I worked in Visual Effects in the film industry in Los Angeles on a bunch of movies you've probably seen... and a handful that never should have been greenlit. I "retired" from film when my kids were young to be able to spend more time with them. The creativity bug is not one easily shed, and I am happy that I continue to have a creative outlet in my life.
I currently live in Arizona, but was born and raised in Southern California. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I have a husband, two kids, and lots of furry, cuddly pets. I love basketball and photography too!
How did you get started?
Things really took off in 2013, but I actually got my start in apparel in 2001...
In 2013, I was called out by my then-3-year-old daughter G, for wearing a "boring outfit" to a 5k. Who knew you could be fashionable while running? She did! She told me I had to "add some glitter and sparkle" to my outfit. Off to the fabric store we went. She picked out the glitteryest, pinkest fabric she could find. I sewed it up into a skirt (Thanks for the sewing skills, Grambo!) and wore it over my boring black outfit the next day. I was definitely the most stylish at the race--and I never stopped to walk because everyone was looking at me!
Creating my own running outfits has snowballed over the years into what you see here. Creating custom gear for kids' sports teams is probably my favorite thing to make. Seeing kids' faces light up when their name or their team name is on a piece of apparel is just so cool and makes me so happy.
What about The Space Odyssey you say?
I started making shirts in college for friends and fellow Greek Lifers, which rolled into my former professional career in the visual effects film industry, assisting in crew shirt production as a side hustle.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
How does it all work?
What happens after I send an inquiry?
You'll be contacted shortly after you submit a quote request. We can correspond over email, text, or phone. After we nail down specifics of what you'd like, then the busy beavers (aka just me) start chipping away at designs and digital mock-ups.
And then?
I'll place your artwork on various colorways or substrates and email you digital examples. You can revise as much as you want. While we are working out the mock-ups, you will be sent an invoice. When you approve the final numbers and styles on the invoice, you pay.
And then?
I generally send invoices in PayPal, but other payment methods can be worked out if you prefer. Once a final mock-up is chosen, the beavers (again, really just me) will start creating your customs!
And then?
I have several different ways to create your custom spiritwear. I can use custom-cut vinyl for simple, solid color designs or printed film transfers.
Printed film transfers are created with a fancy-shmancy DTF (direct to film) printer which means I can print white on black!! Printing white is pretty awesome. Film transfers allow for great detail in images and gradient colors.
Vinyl transfers are only available in solid colors and a few patterns. Every transfer is fused to your garment with one of my three commercial-grade heat presses.
For items like buttons, magnets, bottle openers, and pocket mirrors I print on high quality paper and stamp on machines Made in the USA. You also have the option to make it sparkle! I can add a hologram layer or a bling ring.
No and then!
My process is fairly flexible as I am in control of every aspect from concept to shipping. I don't outsource any work. I create transfers in my home studio as well. The only thing I don't do myself is sew clothes (any more, I used to often!)
Where are your products manufactured?
In my home studio! I source blank apparel and supplies from US vendors and create everything in a dedicated home studio. Truly a small business!

What is the return policy?
Returns are not available for any custom work. If a garment is defective due to manufacturing error, of course I will fix it.
The goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let me know and I'll do my best to work with you to make it right.
If you simply just don't like it, and it was an in-stock item, a return at customer's return shipping expense may be granted but please contact me first. Shipping fees will not be reimbursed.

What I'm saying is: Whatever your number is, I have you covered. And guess what? If I can't do it, I will let you know it's not something I complete so you don't waste your time.
Let's Talk Money
How do I pay you?
I can accept credit cards (directly through this site), Venmo, PayPal, and cold hard cash (Scrooge McDuck style).
You can decide on your method of payment during the invoicing process. You'll be sent an invoice once we work out the details of your order.
Do you offer payment plans?
Currently payment plans are not offered.
Garment Care
How do I care for my garments?
The best way to keep your apparel looking fresh and clean is to wash your garments inside out and on delicate/cold, and dry on low heat.
My graphics are though and can withstand normal and teenage washing habits.
Do not iron directly on any designs. I do not recommend letting anything soak in water either.
